Introducing Chef Scutt, our Chef resident for September! Scutt Banc is a Haitian-American chef, entrepreneur, and founder of Blanc Catering LLC. Born and raised in Haiti, he immigrated to the United States in 2009, carrying with him his father’s dream of building a better future for their family. Following his father’s passing, Scutt embraced leadership at a young age, supporting his mother and siblings while also pursuing his lifelong passion for the culinary arts.
Inspired by his mother’s cooking and driven by his own creativity, Scutt refined his craft in culinary school before opening his first restaurant in 2019. His expertise lies in Caribbean cuisine and Southern soul food, where he blends authentic flavors with modern flair to create unforgettable dining experiences.
Beyond the kitchen, Scutt is dedicated to using his journey as a source of inspiration—showing that with faith, resilience, and hard work, success is always within reach.

Our Triple Bottom Chef residency program is essentially a monthly kitchen takeover where we host a Philly chef to share their food with our community!
We love all the relationships we’ve built (and foods we’ve tried) over the years and we want to share them with you! We’ve had the glorious opportunity to meet and collaborate with some amazing chefs through pop-ups at our taproom, and we’re really excited to deepen these friendships through month-long residencies. Yes, that’s right a whole month!!
