Future of Service Program is our 16-week, workforce development apprenticeship, focusing on front of house hospitality and life skills. We work in collaboration with dedicated community partners to train cohorts of individuals impacted by the justice system and housing insecurity, to build meaningful careers.

Position Overview

Triple Bottom Brewing is looking for a team-oriented, enthusiastic, conscientious Career Specialist for a full-time, 6 month contract position, with opportunity to renew on completion. The Career Specialist serves as the Future of Service Program instructor who is the bridge between classroom learning and workplace application by reinforcing training concepts, demonstrating industry best practices, and supporting apprentices throughout their skill development journey. This role will work with program leadership, as well as the taproom general manager, to provide hands-on instruction, professional development coaching, and mentorship to build the foundation for long-term success in hospitality.

Roles & Responsibilities 

Apprenticeship Instruction & Training 

• Provide hands-on hospitality training during shifts

• Reinforce classroom lessons through practical application

• Model professionalism, communication, teamwork, and customer service

• Support apprentices as they develop technical and workplace skills

Apprentice Support & Reporting

• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback

• Support apprentice engagement and retention

• Help apprentices build workplace confidence, communication skills and problem-solving strategies

• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

• Communicate participant progress and support needs with program staff

Documentation & Communication 

• Track apprentice attendance and participation

• Document skill progression and training milestones

• Share observations and recommendations with the program director

• Integrate feedback and coaching from taproom general manager in response to fluctuating business needs and opportunities

Requirements 

Required

• Dedication to creating and maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and supportive work environment 

• Clear, empathetic, and respectful communicator 

• Commitment to participant development, relationship-building, inclusion, and flexibility

• Excitement for learning new things, and ability to receive and act on feedback 

• Availability to work evenings and weekends

• Able to lift 30 pounds and walk for a majority of a shift 

Preferred

• Workforce development, adult education, or apprenticeship experience preferred

• Experience with justice-impacted individuals preferred

• ServSafe certification or equivalent hospitality training preferred

• Ability to drive to help bring supplies or apprentices to offsite locations is a bonus but not necessary 

Compensation 

$24/hour, eligible for health insurance, 401(k) match, and PTO
