Bar Back
Triple Bottom Brewing is looking for experienced, team-oriented, enthusiastic, conscientious bar back for a part-time position. Triple Bottom Brewing is a craft brewery with a social mission at 915 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We celebrate community through delicious beer and creative collaboration. As a fair chance brewery, we create meaningful, living-wage jobs for people who have experienced homelessness or incarceration, and may otherwise be excluded from the mainstream economy. Roles & Responsibilities
Enthusiastically and thoughtfully communicate Triple Bottom’s mission and information about our beer and food to guests
Create a positive experience for customers with every interaction, including, greeting guests, water service at tables, accurately running food, and assisting guests with their orders and effectively communicating with the bartenders
Observe and assess customers’ needs and be proactive in providing exceptional service
Maintain a clean environment for guests, including dining room, private events room and bathrooms
Restock and replenish inventory and supplies, including, silverware roll-ups, linens, polishing glasses, and communicate low stock to management
Work well with other members of the team, including trainees in the apprenticeship program - be kind, helpful, and flexible
Be on time
Requirements
Ability to quickly learn about our beer and the beer industry
Dedication to creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and positive work environment
Clear, empathetic, and respectful communicator
Flexibility during high and low volume shifts
Commitment to hospitality, relationship-building, and inclusion
Excitement for learning new things, and ability to receive and act on feedback
Able to lift 30 pounds and walk for a majority of a shift
Compensation
Hourly wage is $14/hour plus tips. Base pay will increase to $15/hour after a successful period of 90 days. We guarantee a minimum of $15/hour between base pay and tips. All staff are eligible for our matched 401k program, subsidized health insurance, and PTO.

Roles & Responsibilities
Create a positive experience for customers with every interaction, and provide high quality bar tending service of a menu of beer, wine, and cocktails
Assess customers’ needs/preferences and make recommendations
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, and securing the bar area
Practice responsible alcohol service, including recognizing signs of intoxication and following safe-service protocols.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Process transactions accurately using our POS system and handle cash responsibly
Work well with other members of the team, be kind, helpful, and flexible
Enthusiastically and thoughtfully communicate Triple Bottom’s mission and information about our beer to guests
Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in all scheduled shifts
Requirements
Ability to quickly learn about our beer and the beer industry
Previous bartending experience required
RAMP & Servsafe certification, or willingness to obtain it
Dedication to creating and maintaining a safe-space work environment
Clear, empathetic, and respectful communicator
Flexibility during high and low volume shifts
Commitment to hospitality, relationship-building, and inclusion
Excitement for learning new things, and ability to receive and act on feedback
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Able to lift 30 pounds and walk for a majority of a shift
